From February 3-7, 2025, IDCare.UI, in collaboration with JICA, successfully conducted the Train-the-Trainer: Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) program for its Learning Partner members in Yogyakarta. This initiative aimed to enhance the cybersecurity expertise of university lecturers, empowering them to train future cybersecurity professionals and strengthen digital security education in Indonesia. The training was hosted by Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) and brought together participants from Universitas Muhammadiyah, Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana Yogyakarta, Universitas Teknologi Digital Indonesia, and Sekolah Tinggi Multi Media.
The sessions were led by Mr. Gde Dharma, a lecturer from Universitas Indonesia, on February 3-4, followed by Mr. Wahyu Sutejo from CSIRT.id on February 5-6. A total of 10 lecturers participated in the program, gaining valuable insights into incident response strategies, cybersecurity threat mitigation, and best practices in handling security breaches. This training reflects IDCare.UI’s ongoing commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s cybersecurity ecosystem by equipping educators with cutting-edge knowledge and skills.
