From January 13-17, 2025, IDCare.UI, in collaboration with JICA, successfully conducted the Train-the-Trainer: Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) program for its Learning Partner members in South Sumatra. The training aimed to enhance cybersecurity expertise among university lecturers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to strengthen cybersecurity education in the region. The program was held at Universitas Multi Data Palembang (UMDP), with Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI) serving as the host and cybersecurity hub for South Sumatra.
The training sessions were led by Mr. Yusuf Effendy from January 13-15 and Mr. Hamdan Abdul Aziz from January 16-17, both esteemed instructors from IDCare.UI’s Cybersecurity Academy Membership Program (CAMP). A total of 12 lecturers from various institutions, including Universitas Sumatera Selatan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi, Universitas Bina Insan, Universitas Multi Data Palembang, Universitas Katolik Musi Charitas, and Universitas Sriwijaya, participated in the program. This initiative marks a significant step in strengthening cybersecurity capabilities in South Sumatra, fostering a network of trained professionals dedicated to improving digital security awareness and incident response strategies.
