
The journey to fortify Indonesia's data protection landscape continued with the third batch of the Entry Level Data Protection Officer training, held from July 29 to 30, 2025, amidst the breathtaking scenery of Patra Bali Resort & Villas. This vibrant setting welcomed 31 participants from the Indonesian Attorney General's Office and 16 from Pertamina Group, all eager to deepen their expertise in data privacy through the program collaboratively organized by IdCARE.UI and ILUNI UI. The opening on July 28th featured prominent speakers such as Dr. Ir. Didit Hidayat Agripinanto, MBA, Chairman of ILUNI UI, alongside senior representatives from Pertamina and the Attorney General's Office, emphasizing the critical role of data protection in the nation's digital future.
The comprehensive four-day program was structured to provide a holistic understanding of personal data protection. Sessions delved into the intricacies of the Personal Data Protection Law, effective management of data processing roles, and advanced techniques for managing personal data and associated risks. A unique highlight of this batch was the inclusion of a Pertamina site visit on the third day, offering participants invaluable real-world insights into data protection implementation within a major enterprise.
