
On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), in collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), convened the 6th Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) meeting as part of the Human Resources Development for Cybersecurity Professionals project. Held in the FTUI Senate Meeting Room, the event marked a milestone in advancing human capital in cybersecurity—an increasingly critical area amid rapid digital transformation.
The session was officially opened by FTUI Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Ir. Yanuar, M.Eng., M.Sc., followed by remarks from Dr. Said Mirza Pahlevi (Head of Digital Talent Development Center) and Mr. Sigit Kurniawan (Director of Cybersecurity Strategy and Cryptography, BSSN). A keynote address was delivered virtually by Mr. Tomoyuki Yamada, Senior Director at JICA, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration in building resilient cybersecurity talent to meet global threats.
Highlights included project overview by Dr. Ruki Harwahyu (idCARE-UI), and achievements shared by JICA Chief Advisor Mr. Hiroyuki Ide and UI Project Manager Dr. Muhammad Salman. The event featured an interactive discussion on sustainability strategies, closed with insights from leading figures such as Prof. Arief Udhiarto, Prof. Kalamullah Ramli, and Mr. Kakuda Kazuyuki (JICA Indonesia). Attended by over 30 stakeholders from academia, government, and industry, the forum reinforced a shared commitment to advancing Indonesia’s cybersecurity capacity through sustained collaboration, training, and research.
