Jakarta, March 12, 2025 – IdCARE UI recently conducted a cybersecurity training session for JICA Indonesia officers to strengthen their awareness and preparedness against cyber threats. Led by Prof. Kalamullah Ramli, this four-hour offline session was attended by 35 participants, including Program Assistants, Administrative Staff, Consultants, and Senior Professionals. The training covered critical cybersecurity topics, including cyber threats, AI-related risks, and best practices for protecting both company and personal data.

Throughout the session, participants gained insights into recognizing and mitigating cyber threats such as malware, social engineering, and insider risks. The training also explored the role of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, highlighting its benefits as well as potential risks, including deepfakes and AI-generated phishing attacks. Practical exercises on cyber hygiene, multi-factor authentication, and safe AI usage provided participants with concrete skills to enhance their cybersecurity practices.

The training resulted in a significant improvement in participants' cybersecurity awareness, as reflected in pre-test and post-test assessments. Key discussions on real-world cybersecurity incidents, password security, and AI-related data privacy concerns were particularly impactful. Given the positive outcomes, further cybersecurity training sessions are expected, reinforcing JICA Indonesia’s commitment to maintaining high security standards in an increasingly digital environment.
